This small beauty was developing at the Botanical Gardens in Orlando. As a quick review I have to say I loved spending a couple of hours amongst the vast plant collection and tranquility of the Harry P. Leu Gardens.

The rose garden and Camellia collection
(one particular of the biggest documented in the U.S.) have been outstanding. There have been a lot
of Camellia species I had by no means seen ahead of. The winding trails presented a trip
by means of several other plant varieties. It looked to me that Central Florida (USDA
Zone 9b) was providing the excellent climate to get lushness without having sloppiness.
Every thing looked nicely tended also in all the gardens. This spot offers this kind of
a nice respite from the Disney craziness that looks to exist in an alternate
universe.

This was the 1st time I had
noticed a Cobra Lily up close. It is such a microcosm in the botanical grandeur
that was increasing all around it. There have been a couple of trough gardens filled
with Insectivorous and Carnivorous plants. It all looked to be on a miniature
scale and this plant was quite small.
